Gilles Vassal

Gilles Vassal is a pediatric Oncologist and a Professor of Oncology at University Paris-Saclay. He currently leads the Pediatric Research programme at Gustave Roussy Comprehensive Cancer Center in France. For over 20 years, Vassal has focused on developing new cancer treatments for children and adolescents, co-founding key European networks such as ITCC, ENCCA, and ExPO-r-Net. He is Chair of ITCC and ACCELERATE, platforms driving innovative cancer therapies.

A past President and Board Member of SIOP Europe, he has over 250 publications and received the 2020 Leonard M. Rosen Memorial Award for Policy & Advocacy.
